As I go to church each week, I’m reminded of my Savoir to seek.
As I attend each meeting here, praise and honor I surely do hear.
Lips of praise and honor fill the air, I’m reminded I’ve heard that somewhere.
I know, I know, where I’ve heard that recital; it was in the pages of my Holy Bible.
With your lips you honor me well, but your hearts are far from me, everyone can tell.
I wish you were hot or even cold, but since your lukewarm you’ll not be found in Jesus’ eternal fold.
To say what I’ve said, some may say I have no right, but I’ll stand for Jesus with all my might.
And some may say I have no couth, but I’ll continue to strand for Jesus’ truth
What I say is not to judge or condemn, rather it’s to encourage us to become Jesus’ gem.
The world cannot see Jesus in us, without our actions and deeds, they are a must.
We have so much knowledge that’s been taught; yet we do not do that which we ought.
God cannot get glory in our renditions, but only in our God given mission.
Jesus has invited us to be His kin, but that requires us to be committed to forsaking our sin.
Desire to change is not enough; determination to change is needed when it gets rough.
If we plan to stand for Jesus each day, it means we must be willing choose to change our ways.
The excuses we cling to must be let go, for otherwise, to change, we will say no.
